ABOUT Rev. Dr. David A. Davis

Rev. Dr. David A. Davis is currently the senior pastor of the Nassau Presbyterian Church in Princeton, New Jersey. He has served that congregation since 2000. David earned his Ph.D. in Homiletics from Princeton Theological Seminary. He is currently the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the Presbyterian Foundation.  His academic work has focused on preaching as a corporate act and the active role of the listener in the preaching event. Before arriving in Princeton, he served for fourteen years as the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Blackwood, NJ. David is married to Cathy Cook, a Presbyterian Minister who is Associate Dean of Student Life at Princeton Seminary. They have two children, Hannah and Ben.

David is an adjunct faculty member in preaching at Princeton Theological Seminary and a contributor to various journals in the discipline of preaching and has had published of a collection of his sermons. The book is titled A Kingdom You Can Taste: Sermons for the Church Year.
